Eric Bulatov. That’s IT

The catalogue “Eric Bulatov. That’s IT” was published in Russian and English toward the exhibition held in the State Tretyakov Gallery from September, 20 to November, 19, 2006.

The project has become the most significant retrospective of the artist’s works ever presented in Russia or abroad. Eric Bulatov is now seen as a classic of the second half of the 20th century painting. This large-scale exposition was made possible by the joined effort of the State Tretyakov Gallery and the “Ekaterina Cultural Foundation”.

The exposition in the State Tretyakov Gallery was directed by the painter himself, reflecting the main vistas of his life in painting. Eric Bulatov also participated in the creation of the catalogue based on chronological principle.

Besides the works included in the exposition, the catalogue presents paintings which were not part of it. The edition also contains referential materials, such as the painter’s autobiography, list of exhibitions, the author’s commentary to the series “That’s It”. Articles by Andrej Erofeev, Bertram Lorken, a poet Vsevolod Nekrasov, and the artist himself can be found in the catalogue.

A gift version of the catalogue was also published.
